As a trailer manufacturer industry leader and innovator of Hydraulic Dump Trailers, Griffin Trailer™ is a family owned and faith based subsidiary of Chubb Steel. Employing nearly 100 quality administrative and production staff, the operational headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana are where tens of thousands of high quality trailers have been produced since the diversification of product line was introduced in 2006.

OUR HISTORY
1969
Family patriarch and founder of Sharp Steel, Glen Sharp, started the family business in steel fabrication. Eventually providing various steel components for the RV industry, Sharp Steel was also the vocational home for Chubb Griffin (Glen’s son-in-law) starting in 1972. Chubb developed his skills as a machine worker and truck driver delivering the products to customers. In the two decades of tenure, Chubb rose to the management team as General Manager and eventually Vice President.

Chubb Griffin opens Chubb Steel as a steel brokerage firm supplying various industries bulk steel and fabricated steel.
