Refunds and Returns Policy Overview
Our refund and returns policy provides guidelines for what we currently allow for consideration of a return and/or refund.
At a minimum, to be eligible for a return, the purchased item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it with photo proof. It must also be in the original packaging. Transit damage to the item will be a matter of claim against the freight carrier and may or may not involve our customer service getting involved. Otherwise, some claims may also need to be placed directly with the original manufacturer of the item if it is not solely produced by Griffin Trailer.
Any return must be requested within 7 business days of receipt of the item for a presumed acceptable reason.
Processing A Return Request
To complete your return, we require an email and phone call to our customer service department as shown on your receipt. A reference of the order date, order number, items needing returned, and date of actual receipt will be required.
Prior authorization in writing from Griffin Trailer must be received before any item may be returned or considered for refund. This is a no-exceptions policy. Once this prior authorization is received, the item(s) may be returned at your sole expense of freight and handling unless other arrangements are agreed upon as part of the prior authorization.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted which may include a 15% restocking fee or other miscellaneous fees.
If upon receipt of the returned item it is determined by Griffin Trailer that it does not match the original quality and condition of the originally shipped part (damaged, worn, missing pieces or components, etc.) a full refund may not be granted. In some cases, an exchange or store credit may be offered versus a refund. This is at the sole discretion of Griffin Trailer. Turnaround time for a replacement item to be sent and/or refund (partial or full) will be subject to replacement item availability or within 7 business days upon receipt of the returned item.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
When your refund is processed, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 business days of final approval of the refund.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us using the page on the website.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, this falls under the same procedure as any other type return as shown above.
Return Shipping
To return your product, you should mail it to the address given in the return authorization email from Griffin Trailer.
All shipping costs for a replacement item sent to you if found to qualify for a free replacement, will be covered by Griffin Trailer for the outbound freight only. The cost to return the item to Griffin Trailer will be your expense and are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary according to UPS ground delivery method.
In all cases, Griffin Trailer will use a tracking number for the original order shipment and any subsequent shipments for replacement items. It is advised you do the same if returning an item to avoid losing track of the item.
